Import Taxes, Customs, Import Duties

Many countries do not charge import duties on private items, samples, and goods below a certain stated value.

(FOR INSTANCE) No USA Customers of ours has ever had Import Duties Applied to Date from 2006, but that said it is possible that you could. We try and put the lowest value we possibly can on products shipped, and if you ask we will try to put what ever you like on the import declaration form.

How Much Tax Do I Need To Pay for electronic products?

Solution: Do I have to pay import duties on electronic products sent from China?

Short answer: in many countries, no. But many countries yes, more in some countries, less in others.

Long answer:

Please note that all import taxes / duties are the recipient's responsibility. So if you are delivering to someone else like a friend or direct to a customer, any taxes payable will be their initial responsibility.

iShopoutlet will accept no responsibility for customs costs incurred.

However, you may find that you have to pay taxes when electronic products you've ordered from us arrive in your country.

Obviously you will want this to be as low as possible, but iShopoutlet CANNOT give you advice or information about tax rates and customs charges in your country.

All we can do is declare the value of the shipped goods at a nominal value (see below), which may still be fully taxable.

Electronic products shipped from iShopoutlet will be declared at the lowest nominal market price as a standard assumption.

This lowest market price is based on the manufacturing origin and might not be reflective of how much the item will cost you if bought in your local retail market.

You must ensure you find out about regulations in your own country before ordering electronic products from iShopoutlet. In most countries the actual origin of the goods (China) is not important: only the declared value of the goods and declared contents is relevant.

Do NOT: (repeat) Do NOT Flash The Firmware

Back To Top Solution It seems everyone has got into the habit of FLASHING THE FIRMWARE on mp3 / mp4 devices even if they are already working fine, possibly because iPod products seem to require lots of firmware and software updates just to get them running.

BUT we are happy to say, with iShopOutlet music players it is NOT NECESSARY TO UPDATE THE FIRMWARE!

** iShopOutlet MP3 and MP4 Players are already shipped with the most up-to-date firmware. **

It is not EVER necessary for you to flash the firmware, and we do not provide firmware downloads or updates.

If firmware-updating software is included with your product CD please do not touch it and pretend it does not exist.

If you flash your player firmware incorrectly, which is all too easy to do, you will probably KILL your player outright. Have you ever tried flashing the BIOS on your PC? Of course not, because you'd probably have to get a new chip or main board before you could use your computer again. Same thing with flash media players: the firmware can be flashed, but that doesn't mean you're supposed to try it!

If you disable your player through attempting to flash the firmware, unfortunately this will invalidate the product warranty from iShopOutlet, and we will probably be quite unsympathetic if you email us asking for a return.

So, please, just say 'no' to firmware flashing!

Although we do assist you by manually checking all orders to screen possible region / compatibility inconsistencies, we do not accept returns of healthy products which were simply mis-ordered by you. If you are in an NTSC video color region, don't order PAL products for your market. Check if your locality has free DVB-T broadcasts before buying DVB-T digital TV receivers. If the driver's seat is on the left, don't order left side passenger sun visor Car DVD Monitors! Duh! � Additionally, there are some (cool) types of gadgets including for example (but not limited to) radio-signal jamming devices, high-powered lasers, and quasi-medical products that are not legal (boo!) to import into certain countries. As the buyer / importer it is entirely your responsibility to find out in advance of placing your order whether your ordered items are subject to import restrictions. iShopOutlet will ship you whatever you order, so we do not accept liability in the case of failed delivery of goods, where they have failed to clear your country's local Customs - either in cases where the goods are turned back, or in cases where the goods are seized. In addition iShopOutlet is not responsible for informing you of possible import restriction issues before or after purchase. � We will not be responsible for any damage that may be caused on your computer, console, or other hardware / software during / related to installation of any of our products. We not be liable for any damage or personal loss due to incorrect installation of our products. Please Note: We do not take back or except returned electronic items or give refunds on electronic items purchased and we do not exchange electronic products for different products, all electronic products sales are final. iShopOutlet doesn't accept returns of products, which are not faulty. � Delivery time: If there is a possible delay due to the warehouse being out of stock, we'll contact you by email to discuss sending out your order in separate shipments, changing products, or other options. Larger orders that exceed our stock may take up to 1 week longer to send out, as we have to order from the factory. In such cases we will contact you about any delay. In certain cases, e.g. the first time you try to drop-ship to a different address than your own, we have to complete a verification check with you before processing your order, which can add 1-3 days to the processing time. � If you are at all unsure about importing goods from China, start with iShopOutlet. Your payment is through a safe channel PAYPAL, your delivery is guaranteed, the products are quality assured, and you can begin by ordering only 1 piece as a sample!

At iShopOutlet we feel it's very important to handle Paypal payments responsibly. If we receive an order that shows signs of being a high risk or fraudulent transaction (e.g. signs of someone stealing a login to someone else's Paypal account) then we may instantly reverse the transaction and refuse to process the order.

Our policy is to check each and every Paypal order against a strict set of criteria to make sure we only process bona fide payments.

This is where the billing address is in your name, and the Paypal account is yours too... but the goods are shipping to a different address! Different billing and shipping addresses, particularly if the addresses are in different countries, is a sign of a high-risk transaction!

On orders where the customers PayPal account with (Shipping Address Unconfirmed) or (The sender of this payment is Unverified) on large orders we may cancel the order if we can't contact you, or if we contact you and we don't receive a response after a number of days, we will reverse the transaction and cancel the order.
